Mandy Goldfoot

Mandy Goldfoot was found on Wednesday, January 12, 2005. She was living in Australia and is a physician and a website designer. She works as the artistic director of Beagle Computing. She does high tech website design, not unlike what Joel Goldfoot does. Her e-mail is: mandy.goldfoot@beagle-it.com.
I contacted her on 1/5/05 by e-mail. I have had no response.
August 2006: I found her website again and sent it to Joel Goldfoot who sent her an email. He does almost the same type of work that she does; designing websites and is involved with advertising. He has not had a reply yet. It's interesting that these two Goldfoots are doing the same type of work.

Rose Goldfoot 1910 Census

Rose Goldfoot was 10 years old on the April 26, 1910 census of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the 4th Ward District 61. She was found in a Home for Hebrew Orphans. Her parents were from Russia and she spoke Yiddish, but was born in Pennsylvania. I did not find her on the 1920 census. Perhaps she had been adopted.

Max Goldfoot 1910 Census

Max Goldfoot, age 32, born about 1878, was on the 1910 census of Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts 8th Ward District 1369. He was a junk dealer, Jewish, and spoke Yiddish. He came from Russia to USA in 1895 at the age of 15.

His wife was Rebecca, age 30 with the same background. They had 3 children all born in Massachusetts: Harry, age 7, Robert age 2, and Florence age 2 months. He lived in a Jewish neighborhood of Boston. He was not on the 1920 census.

Because he was in Boston tells me that he could have come to the USA through Montreal, Quebec, Canada. "The trains departed from Montreal to Boston (info could be found in NARA). This person is very similar to my grandfather, Nathan Goldfoot who also went to Montreal on the ship Parisian but was born about 1871. Also, because Max's children were born in Massachusetts, that tells me he arrived there first.
